Chatex is a custodial P2P exchange that was implemented as a Telegram bot and an Android app. There was also a wallet for the cryptocurrency TON.

On 9 November 2021, Chatex was placed on the US sanctions list. The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Justice accused the resource of money laundering. After that, the company announced the freezing of all user funds and the cancellation of the planned tokensale. At the same time, the funds were never given to users. And there is no progress on "unfreezing" the users' assets yet.

It was intended mainly for the CIS market. A convenient bot, background information and soft KYC made Chatex popular and liquid.
