Garantex is a Russian cryptocurrency exchange with a P2P service aimed at the CIS market.
Garantex offers cryptocurrency purchases at the current market rate, similar to a regular spot market. Users can fund their fiat balances either with cash through kiosks in Moscow, St. Petersburg, or through the P2P exchange. The exchange actively collaborates with partners and continues to expand its network of kiosks in many cities and countries. It also provides an extensive referral program and supports an Android app for trading USDT, BTC, and other cryptocurrencies from anywhere.
The service was included in U.S. sanction lists, which led some other exchanges to view funds received from Garantex as high-risk.
Registration on Garantex consists of three parts. In the first two, you need to sign up and link your phone number, as registration is not possible without it. In the third part, you are required to upload a photo of your passport with your registration address and take a selfie. After verification, access to all Garantex exchange features is granted.
For placing your own ads, Level 3 verification is required, which includes a confirmed email and phone number, as well as completed identity verification.
For trading as a taker on P2P, only a confirmed phone number is sufficient.
The company currently does not provide services without exceptions to the following jurisdictions: Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Congo-Brazzaville, Congo-Kinshasa, Cuba, Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea), Ethiopia, Eritrea, Iran, Namibia, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Uganda, United States, South Sudan, Zimbabwe, Yemen.
