Localcryptos

LocalCryptos is a non-custodial P2P platform that originally had the name LocalEthereum. It is clear from the name that only Ethereum was supported for P2P trading. Subsequently, it was rebranded and Bitcoin fiat exchange was made available.

After 5 successful years, the site closed in October 2022. The project was founded by a small team as a hobby. Under the pressure of the market, LocalCryptos could no longer continue its work.

The platform was a direct competitor of LocalBitcoins. Transactions with ETH were secured by smart contracts, and with BTC, P2WSH transactions were used.
